FIT FOR FUTURE- FIT FOR LIFE- Money rules the World

The Saxon tax offices offer schools in their region lessons on the subject of taxes under the motto "Finanzamt macht Schule" (Tax office goes to school). The aim is to convey the meaning and purpose of taxes to the taxpayers of tomorrow. The focus is on the message "Paying taxes makes sense - without taxes there is no community for the benefit of all". Using the tax administration as an example, the pupils deepen their knowledge of the structure and functioning of the state.

To this end, teams of lecturers from the Zwickau tax office organized a double lesson with illustrative examples in our 9th grade classes. This gave the pupils a first-hand insight into the work of the tax offices and brief information on career guidance.

It was pleasing to see the many interested questions from the pupils on the topic and the final positive assessment of the project.

We will now offer this event regularly in the 9th grade.
