Christmas dinner

Year 10 pupils used the project days before Christmas to prepare a Christmas feast. The aim of the project was to prepare traditional dishes on their own and without the use of ready-made products.

The preparations for the festive meal lasted one morning and included wrapping, frying and braising roulades, cutting and preparing the red cabbage as well as preparing and decorating the Christmas table. The following day, the potatoes were grated and mashed, the dumplings rolled and cooked and the bread dumplings made. Two chefs took care of our dessert and prepared the apple crumble in decorative glasses, which was served with vanilla ice cream.

Our festive table was beautiful and the food was a delight. I think our young cooks now appreciate the work of their parents or grandparents for Christmas dinner much more and will help out themselves in the future.
